    Brigid writes beautifully about the experience of writing poetry. For many years we half-joked about a time when we might stop saying we are going to be poets and actually start saying we *are* poets, writing poetry. I am glad to say that Brigid has made that transition and that her poetry which I have loved for many years for its painterly eye that weaves, without showing off or presumption, with a profound engagement eith the spiritual – a compassion for humanity, richly empathic, a respect for the living earth and our tragic nrglect of our need to be in right relation with it, is now her life.
